David Update

David's 15 month check up was on the 26th of May. Needless to say, he's huge! He's 27.5 lbs.(85%) 33.5 in.(100%). He is at such a fun age and so mischievous. He gets into EVERYTHING! The best is he knows what he's doing because he'll walk over to do something he's not supposed to and right before he does it he looks over to see if he's being watched. If he is he'll smile and continue doing it, if you're not paying attention he do it to get your attention, the little stinker. Oh well. We love him anyways. One of his favorite acts of mischief is climbing up on to, well, anything, but especially chairs and then on to the table. We have since bungee corded the kitchen chairs together because I'm worried he'll fall off one of these days. He is becoming very verbal, repeating almost everything we say, but also says a lot on his own. Some of his favorite words are hotdog, dad, bye, up, juice, please, thank you, dog, balls, bubbles . . . I'm sure I'll think of more later. It has really been interesting to see the differences in the way he and Brooklyn have developed. By the time Brooklyn was David's age, you could have a full on conversation with her. David is smart in other ways. He is extremely perceptive and observant. He loves to figure out how things work. He's a true boy. He loves to play especially outside. He loves slides, swings, the sand box and the pool. He and Brooklyn are in swimming lessons and seem to really enjoy it so far. It's a mommy & me class and Grandma Denise comes with. We take turns with each of the kiddos. The weather hasn't been the greatest, but hasn't been too miserable so far. We'll see what the rest of the week and next week bring. David is also a cuddler. He loves to be held and cuddled and tickled, pretty much anything that means he's got your undivided attention. One of his newest things is when I'm holding him, I can ask him for a kiss and he will give me one and then he'll say 'hug' and give me a big hug. The kid just melts my heart.
Showing off his new swimming attire. Don't you just love it? And he loves the hat. I've never met a kid that would actually keep a hat on, but he loves it!

Posing with sister. And yes, his mouth is full of food. Another one of his favorites I forgot to mention, eating.

Playing in the wadding pool in grandma Denise's backyard after swimming lessons.

A sink bath after playing outside.

How to eat a pancake

Load a bite on to the bulldozer

Scoop it up

and enjoy!

He is such a cutie pie! His smile is magical. I love it when he gets a book, backs up to my rocking chair, holds up is arms, gives a grunt, and then say, Book!" He loves to read as much as Brookie. What a nut he is.
