Jon turned 26 on the 5th (Cinco de mayo!)
We started the festivities Friday night with dinner and a movie. The kids had a sleep over at Grandma Denise's. We had really yummy food at The Great Steak in Provo with Bryan, Angel and the gang and then went and saw X-Men beginnings: Wolverine. BTW congrats again to Bryan & Angel who are having a BOY! Then, Saturday night Grandma Denise came to our house to babysit while we went to a play that one of Jon's former scouts was in. It was a Broadway review and a New York themed dinner. It was a lot of fun. Sunday, we had a BBQ with family, friends and really good food (thanks CodyO!). The actual day was very fun filled. The kids and I made Grandma Denise's special oatmeal pancakes for breakfast. Then we went and bought Jon's birthday present, a new laptop and had lunch at Sizzler. We topped the day off with the kids hanging out at grandma Teri's while I went to scouts with Jon. Our young men's president is an Orem fire fighter and set up a special activity with the Orem police department's K-9 until. The boys, and anyone else who wanted to, got to put on the bite suit and 'play ' with the dogs. They loved it. They all got a turn, that is after Jon pulled the birthday card and got first dibs. Last, but defiantly not least, our awesome bishop took a turn. It was awesome. I surprised Jon with birthday treats (Capri Suns and Transformer cup cakes) to share with the boys. It was a really fun day. Happy Birthday sweetheart. I hope you had a great birthday. We love you!
