Jon and I decided we wanted do something really fun for our anniversary this year to Celebrate our 5 wonderful years of married life. We are going to be busy on our actual anniversary (stay tuned for that post) so we started looking at other fun things to do around that time. We considered lots of fun ideas, but couldn't resist this one.
Several months ago we heard an advertisement for a Bill Engvall concert at the Peppermill Concert Hall in Wendover and instantly knew we wanted to go. It seemed like forever before tickets went on sale, let alone time for the actual concert to come, but it finally happened this weekend. All I can say is that it was well worth the wait. For those of you living under a rock, I mean, who might not know who Bill Engvall is =) he is a VERY funny stand up comedian. He currently has a sitcom on TV as well as a funniest home movies type show on CMT. He is probably best know for his work with the Blue Collar Comedy team as well as his 'here's your sign' jokes. We had amazing seats that were worth every penny. We met my dad and step mom in Wendover (their winter sport/home away from home JK) where they surprised us with a jacuzzi sweet. Thanks again it was awesome. I lost $20 playing 2/5 limit poker, but had a lot of fun doing it and then made up for it the next day winning $78 on a penny slot. It was all purely for entertainment and entertaining it was. That was our fun anniversary weekend getaway. Happy anniversary sweetheart!
