OK, so I have a ton to write about so bear with me. Em and Family arrived Thursday night to visit (YEA!!!) and we've been having a ton of fun with them. We had to take a little detour in our fun to the hospital. Yep, Brookie was admitted once again for her asthma Friday afternoon. We took her to Dr. Steve's office and saw the physicians assistant Todd who sent us straight to the ER. Her oxygen levels were at 82 (not good) even with breathing treatments. From the ER we were admitted. This time wasn't as bad, we weren't in the ICU, but they did have to keep her over night and most of Saturday. It was kind of fun to see the wonderful staff that took such good care of our babies during our last hospital stay, but it was not fun to have to go back under those circumstances. We went back to see Dr. Steve Monday for a follow up and he put her on two new medicines to try and help. The plan now is to attack the triggers and we are thinking that seasonal allergies are a trigger. Her symptoms started the same day Jon and Denise's allergies started acting up. She now takes Zyrtec and Singulair daily as well as two breathing treatments with her Pulmicort. We also do breathing treatments with Xopenex every 2-4 hours as needed and she is on an oral steroid twice a day for a few more days. Our poor baby girl. No child, especially this young, should have to take this many medicines. She is so brave and does such a good job with it all. We love her so much and hope that the new steps the doctors are taking will help to control her asthma better. Then it was back to the fun! Saturday was Braxton's birthday party. It was at the park by my house and we had lots of fun. Brax devoured his cake, two fist fulls at a time. I can't believe he is already a year old?! He has gotten so big since I last saw him in February. Kaylee too. We've really missed them and are so glad that they've come to visit. Sunday we celebrated father's day by the lake, 4 wheeling and fishing. It was fun to just relax and play with the kids. Then we went to visit Papa and Gramps (Kris's dad and grandpa). Monday was also a day filled with fun. After Brookie's doctor's appointment we met Em & family at uncle Kay's house to ride Kay's horsies. My cousin Breanne also came with her two kids Kash and Kate. I'm not sure who was more spoiled that day, the kids, the horse or uncle Kay. The kids loved riding around and around and around and around Kay's house on Kody and feeding him carrots and leaves. After a few hours of that we went and got lunch and took it to the park for even more fun. Needless to say the kids slept VERY well last night. I went to work today so the kids went to grandma Denise's, but tomorrow promises to be yet another fun filled day. We are going to Strawberry Day's Rodeo. This always one of my favorite summer time traditions. Well, I think I've just about covered it. If I think of anything else I'll post again later, but for now I really need to go to bed. As usual, here are the cute pictures to accompany all of our fun stories!
See, already something I forgot. We've just been having so much fun this summer. With Grandma Denise out of school for the summer and done with her Masters program we've been playing with her a lot. We went to the aquarium. Brookie loved looking at all the different kinds of fish. She even got the pet a Sting Ray.

This was at the lake. We forgot to bring chairs or a blanket, so Tiffany (my step sister in-law) cleaned out the back fo her Durango so the kids would have some where to play and eat.

WOW! That was a lot to take in! LOL!! I love your blog.
I love that picture of Brookie feeding the horse! Wow, the aquarium seems like forever ago so much has happened! Brookie is such a little trooper with all she goes through. I loved how she would tell the doctors and nurses, "All done!" Let's hope she outgrows the asthma as she gets older.
