Our newest adventure

We survived chicken pox and luckily David didn't get it too. Now we are on to a new adventure, POTTY TRAINING! This wasn't really planned, but Thursday Brooklyn decided she no longer wants to wear diapers. That didn't really give us much of a choice. We actually bought her a potty back in January when she started showing interest and has asked and actually go several times a day. Now we're just going to have to get serious about it. It's going as well as can be expected. Thursday night I went to the store and bought panties and treats so we could start first thing Friday morning. When she woke up we took her to the bathroom and had her go then we put the new big girl panties on. She had 3 accidents before she actually went on the potty again, but when she got smarties (her favorite candy) for going I think it clicked. She did really well after that. I wimped out and put a pull up on her for her nap. She had a few more accidents around dinner time and then it was a pull up again for bed time. Once she starts really getting the hang of it then I'll brave nap and bed time. Saturday I had to work in the morning so grandma Denise came over to help daddy with the kids and continue the potty training. She had a really good morning with no accidents. Then after her nap she slipped a few more times. Today's gone about the same with a few accidents so far, but she has made it to the potty a few times too. I know it's going to take some time and a lot of patience, but it will be so nice not to have two in diapers any more. That's pretty much it for us right now. Oh, Brooklyn did get a new toy last night. It's a mini swing set with a slide and swing. It's so cute and she loves it! Here are some pictures of her playing with it.
