Upping the anti

Friday was not a good day in the world of potty training. Brooklyn was having accidents left and right and I was getting very frustrated. However, I was bound and determined not to give up so I decided to up the anti. For Christmas last year Brooklyn got a Cabbage Patch doll from her Grandma & Grandpa Scott. Because my children have been blessed with an abundance of toy (OK, OK, they're spoiled) I sometimes set some of them aside to bring out later. This Cabbage Patch doll has been sitting on Brooklyn's shelf just waiting for the perfect time to bring her out and Friday was that day. After yet another frustrating accident I cleaned Brooklyn up and then pulled the doll off the shelf. I showed it to Brooklyn and explained to her that if she was a big girl and started going potty in the potty all of the time and had no accidents then she could have this new baby. She was so excited! She loves to play with her baby dolls and fell instantly in love with this one. I set the doll up on a shelf next to her potty treats where she can see the doll and remember to tell up when she has to go. It has been amazing! Saturday was a really good day and Sunday went well with the exception of church, but I had put her in a pull up for just that reason. Today has been extraordinary. She has had no accidents. It still takes some prodding to get her to go up and try sometimes, but she's doing really well and I'm so excited. As a smaller reward for having no accidents today she got to go on a 4wheeler ride with her daddy. She loves the wheeler and we loved being able to reward her with a ride. A few more days the baby will be all hers. YEA!!!
