I know my birthday was a month ago, but I just realized I never blogged anything about it. I didn't really make a big deal of my birthday this year. I've realized as I've gotten older that birthdays really aren't as great as when we were younger. I still had a pretty good birthday though. I had some family and friends over for my traditional Hawaiian Haystacks and fruit pizza (thanks mom!). January 30th I went with some high school friends to Brick Oven for our traditional birthday dinner. 5 of us have February birthdays (Mackenzie on the 4th, Lalani on the 6th, me on the 7th, Shelley on the 13th, and Cecelia on the 29th) and Natalie came along for the fun too. We had a really fun time catching up (I hadn't seen Lalani or Shelley in a few years) over dinner and then a few of us went back to Shelley's to play games and catch up a little more. It was a lot of fun. Then on the 21st of February there was a neighborhood birthday party. 12 ladies in my neighborhood have February birthdays so one of the ladies (Janelle) invited us all over to her house for a party. It was so much fun. She had decorated her house and made us a Cafe Rio style dinner. Then we played Apples to Apples and had a very yummy chocolate chip cake that Jessica made. I had a lot of fun getting to know some of the ladies in my neighborhood better. Thanks again Janelle! Overall, it was a fun birthday month. Thanks to everyone that helped make it that way.
I didn't get pictures of any of these fun events, but I borrowed these from Janelle's blog =)
