Getting serious

As some of you may remember, Brooklyn showed interest in potty training at 18 months old which is pretty young. We didn't really think it would go any where, but we went out and bought her a potty and some big girl panties and let her have at it. Well, potty training is not the easiest job in the world and trying to do it while taking care of a brand new baby was just plain hard. So we lost steam and even though she would go on the potty several times a day, we never got serious about it. That is until now. She's old enough, smart enough and I'm just sick of having to kids in diapers so I decided to get serious this week. Monday we were out and about with Dr's appointments and things so I started on Tuesday. It was a great day until nap time. We both lost steam after that. Wednesday was awesome though. She woke up dry and stayed dry though her nap and only had two or three accidents. Thursday was not a good day. We were out and about again so I just kept her in a diaper all day. Today as been OK so far. She was only a little wet this morning, but has had 3 accidents and it's not even nap time. I know the key is being consistent so I'm just going to hang in there and stay consistent this time and hopefully another week or so and she will be completely potty trained once and for all. Wish me luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I completly understand. I've been 'potty training' for almost a year now. I just finally got to the point where I was done.
