It all started Tuesday with Brooklyn's runny nose. By Wednesday morning everyone but David(his started Thursday) was completely miserable with cough, fever, body aches, the whole 9 yards. We are finally on the mend, with both kids sleeping though the night for the first time since Tuesday, but we unfortunately did end up with a Brookie trip to the ER. Her oxygen levels were in the low 90's and she wasn't responding to breathing treatments, so after a blessing and a call to the on call Dr, we took her to the ER. By then her levels and gone back up to the mid 90's so they did a chest x-ray, gave her an oral steroid, that she threw up all over Jon =( and sent us home. As much as I hate going to the hospital, they are always so wonderful to us. Brooklyn is always given a stuffed animal in the ER (she's getting quite the collection) and everyone is always so nice. This time she was given a new pair of PJ's to replace her puke covered clothes and Jon was also given a new shirt (they didn't have any pants). I'm so thankful to those that donate such things to make our hospital experiences a little better. One day I hope to be in a position to return the favor and pay it forward.
This week has started out a little better though. Gramps and Grandma came by to bring Brooklyn and early birthday present since they will be in N. Carolina. They got her the most adorable Beauty & the Beast tea set. She loves it. I don't think she's stopped playing with it since they brought it. Thanks again Gramps & Grandma! We are going to continue the early birthday festivities today by doing a little birthday shopping. It should be fun. For those of you that would like to help us celebrate on her actual birthday, we'll have some yummy Costco birthday cake any time after 5. We'd love to see you there!
As always here are some fun pictures to enjoy!
