Play group

It's been a little while since I've done a good entry so I'll update you.

Brooklyn had another attack last week. We knew it was coming on and tried to stop it with our nebulizer, but we ended up at the InstaCare. They gave her and oral steroid and told us to go home and do one more breathing treatment, but if she got worse to take her to the ER. Well, luckily that did the trick and we didn't end up back at the hospital, but it was a close call. On Monday both kids went to the doctor and they decided to refer us to an asthma specialist, whom she will see on Monday. She also has another ear infection. With all of this he has not been sleeping very well. Another night last week she screamed for 3 hours for no apparent reason. We tried everything, but nothing could really calm her. We are starting to wonder about the possibility of sleep problems, like night terrors. The last few nights have been OK. We've even gotten her to sleep in and take a nap in her big girl bed a few times. I'm hoping to get David into the crib (and out of our room) fairly soon, but first Brooklyn has to give up her crib. She's still smart as can be, amazing us on a daily basis. One of her newest accomplishments is 'reading'. There are several books she can 'read'. Her favorite is probably opposites. She has a couple of opposite books and when we read the first page, she says the second (up, down, etc). It's really cute. She still loves her brother, sometimes a little too much, but continues to be a big helper. We made it to play group today at the park. It's a play group from our ward and she seemed to have a lot of fun. We'll see how she does her first time in nursery this weekend.

David is growing like his daddy. Jon weighed 18 lbs at 3 months. David had his two month appointment on Monday and weighs 14 lbs and is 24.5 in long! He's getting so big so fast, I can hardly believe it. He smiles and giggles a lot, especially when someone is talking to or smiling at him. He's also not sleeping very well, which means I get no sleep. Oh well, they'll grow out of it, right? He has a few toys he enjoys, his swing and a floor gym, but he mostly still likes to be cuddled a lot.

Jon has pretty much completely recovered from his surgery. Work is going well, busy, as always. He had a meeting with his boss and the owner of the company on Monday. He got a really good raise and they are hiring a 3rd person, so now we might actually have our nights and weekends back every once in a while. He's also busy in our yard. We got our fence (yea!) and are in the works of getting ready for our grass. The sprinkler system is pretty much done, now we are just going to bring in some top soil before we put sod down. We just stay busy, busy, busy.

I'm sleep deprived =) but doing good. I love being a stay at home mom, but I miss work sometimes. It was fun to go back for a few days during spring break while they kids when to grandma Denise's. I will probably also work during the summer.

So that's us, busy, busy, busy! Hope you are all doing good. Here are some pictures to enjoy!

David's first real bath

After the bath

I put Brooklyn in her big girl bed for a nap figuring she would just get up and play with her toys or cry to come out of her room. Well, she did get up and play with her toys, but then I guess she got tired because when it got quite I went to check on her and she was asleep. She did that again today.

She loved the slide and climbing up and down the stairs, but she wasn't so sure about the swings

This is why I started blogging instead of trying to e-mail all of these to everyone.

Oh yeah. I think I'm going to make my blog private so not just anyone can look at it. This just means you'll have to sign in to look so if you want to stay updated send me an e-mail and I'll put you on the list (JKBronson@hotmail.com).

I'm sorry none of you have been getting much sleep lately. Bailee did the same thing a few weeks ago (screaming for a few hours in the middle of the night). Luckily it was only an ear infection and then another virus that she caught. Luckily the meds helped her out a bit too. Like you said... they will sleep someday! :) I would love to still check in on your blog! my email is vanna31@hotmail.com
